I dislike luggage cart charges enough that I will run around the airport looking for a free one to use by the check-in counters or go to check curb-side where I may anticipate there being some reasonable chance of finding a free one left by a traveler not caring to return them to a pay-for-use stand.Those carts are really designed for one purpose: to roll suitcases. Yes, the pick-up truck could have fit a bunch of luggage carts, but that can’t be why the MSP airport charges for luggage carts in the international arrivals baggage hall but ORD does not in the international arrivals baggage hall. I have been picked up by pick-up truck at MSP airport even after the Norwegian consulate in Minneapolis closed. When I was at ORD, I told the hotel shuttle lady to drop me off at arrivals so I could grab a free cart and roll my stuff up to intl departure. Only pick-ups and a Ford transit with back seats folded up can fit in maybe a couple of carts
